My Trip to New York City

...was FANTASTICAL!

We started the morning off early and climbed onto the bus at 5:45. My best friend Kaylyn and I (check out her blog at  http://thereisnobusinesslikeshowbusiness.blogspot.com/) brought some comfy blankets and got snuggled onto out Coach bus seats. The trip there flew by as we were so excited to be in The Big Apple. Our first stop in the city was at Ground Zero. We came here my freshman year when the construction of the Twin Towers memorial construction had just begun. Since then there has been much improvement, and the construction still continues. Then, we took the bus to an area where we could see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.

After taking some pictures, we headed to Central Park and took a nice walk around the park. The weather was great because the sun was shining, and there was a cool breeze. My friends and I enjoyed walking through the Central Park Zoo as we sang along with a man playing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" on the harmonica.
As the clock came closer to 1 o'clock, the group started its walk to 52nd Street on Broadway to see Jersey Boys. The curtains went up at 2, and right when the actors opened their mouths, I fell in love. The show was great, a little too much language and sexual humor in the first half for me, but overall, it was fantastic. To sum everything up, we got to meet two of the cast members after the show. One of them was Ryan Jesse, who played "Bobby" from the Four Seasons. The other was Russell Fischer, who played many characters throughout the show. The day came to a great end as we loaded ourselves back onto the bus for a long ride home. I still have my autographs and pictures, and I will never forget this wonderful experience. <3
