Day 10: InDesign, Covent Garden, Photography Adventures

Class was super duper fun today. We finally got started on our layouts for our magazine spreads. I had worked with InDesign in high school, so I was excited to get back to it. I even took on an extra assignment and asked my teacher if I could put together the museum spread for everyone. Sometimes I wonder why I didn’t go into journalism. I mean I suck at writing, but I absolutely love designing the stuff. Maybe I can incorporate it into my career somehow.
Time flew by and before I knew it, it was 1 o’clock. I headed off to Covent Garden for my last afternoon experience (well for my article at least). I walked around for a bit, enjoying the busy markets and live music. I ended up at Le Pain Quotidien. I ordered the usual breakfast tea and a sandwich again. The tea was the same as normal, nothing too special this time. The sandwich was okay. It was presented well, but I think because I enjoyed Patisserie so much it was kind of a let down. I think went to Laduree to see how much the macaroons were. 30 pounds for 16 macaroons was the lowest! It was ridiculous. Forget that! Then, I bought some strawberries and came back to Old Street.
Later in the day my friend and I headed out to the London Eye, Parliament, and Westminster Abbey to get some nice pictures. It was good before the sun was setting, and then the light got annoying for a while. But, we did get some really really good shots.
We came home and all ate dinner together downstairs. Finished my cheesecake from yesterday. Yum :)
Tomorrow is a long day. Class is from 10-5. It should go by quickly if we are working on InDesign though.
