I’m super tired right now so I might miss some stuff ):
I was so happy that class was only 30 minutes today. My teacher gave me some tips on my features and then I was free to go! First, I went to the University of Westminster offices to get my passport and student visa approved. I received a free tshirt! woot!!
Next, I walked to Marylebone Street for some tea and a scone for my feature. I went to a little cafe called Bonne Bouche. It was a small bakery and the servers were very nice. I asked the owner, Carlos, if it was okay for me to take pictures. He was really funny and he said “Sure, I’ll mail you the bill later” with a smile. The people were looking at me weird cause I was taking so many pictures, but I had to for my story! I’m getting used to this tea thing. I like it. It tasted really good, but the tea burnt my tongue ): My day was off to a good start.
I then took the central line to St. Paul’s. I visited the cathedral and took some nice pictures. Unfortunately there was a fee to get inside and I couldn’t take any pictures so I didn’t go. However I did hear a choir singing and it sounded so beautiful. I got chills and it made me miss singing in my high school choir.
My main objective was to go back to the Museum of London and get some more research for my article. It had just started to rain so I had perfect timing to go inside. It was really interesting. I learned more about the London Civil War, The Great Plague, the Great Fire. I was also able to take this cool Victorian Walk they had set up in the Museum. In the last section, “World City”, I saw the costumes from the 2012 Olympics Games, including my favorite, Mary Poppins.
Then, I headed home. I really liked traveling around alone today.
I took a nap and then got ready for what I was actually looking forward to today. We were going to see Viva Forever! It was playing at the Piccadilly Theatre and we got a good deal on lastminute.com for dinner at Cha Cha Moon and the show. I thought it was going to be a crappy restaurant but it was actually really really good. The ambiance was really cool and the food was delicious. We kept laughing the entire time because everything was just funny and we were all getting along really well.
Piccadilly is a really nice area and so is Cantebury Market, where the dinner was. It was beautiful at night time.
Finally, we went to the show! It was awesomeeeeee!!! Gahhh. I was singing the entire time because I love the spice girls. The show was really really funny and the audience was good as well. When we got out, we were really hyper, so instead of going home, we went for a walk around Piccadilly. It was super lively and there were lights everywhere.
Later, we headed home. My friend thought it would be funny to twerk the tube so she literally got on here hands and did this handstand thing on it and started twerking. It was absolutely hilarious and we vined it.
We wanted to go to Mission, the pub across the street, but it was closed when we got back. It’s a sign to go to bed because I literally have to wake up in like 6 hours.
Tomorrow I’m headed to Canterbury and Dover!
Yay :)
Yay :)
