Day 7: Canterbury and Dover

We set off bright and early at 7am to head to the Baker Street tube station to go to Canterbury and Dover with the ISA group. It was a two hour drive and practically the whole bus fell asleep.
When we arrived in Canterbury, we first took a river boat ride. It was really cute. About 15 of us sat in a little boat with our tour guide Jake. We had a great time. He was really witty and he had a lot of interesting facts about Canterbury. I got some really nice pictures of the small river and the historic buildings around it. We then had some free time for lunch, so my friends and I went to Pret. They had been talking about it because they tried it in London and it was apparently really good. I agreed - I had some avocado, lettuce, tomato, etc. wrap thing and it was super yummy! We then had some time to walk around Canterbury...there were a lot of old people walking around for some reason. We saw these delicious looking strawberries that were so big I thought they were tomatoes at first. I bought a box and ended up finishing it by the end of the night.

Then, we headed to Dover Castle. It was about 30 minutes from Canterbury. It's common to do a combined trip to both places. The castle looked really cool and I got some beautiful pictures. SO GLAD Mom and Dad let me take the nice camera. Like wow. We went through the secret wartime tunnels that were built during World War II and explored through the castle. There was a beautiful view from the top and we got tons and tons of pictures - sorority ones included. And of course,  my friend decided to twerk on the castle. We were delirious and it was so fun.

We left for London at about 5 and got back at around 7. I came straight home, made dinner, caught up with family, and uploaded pictures.

Overall a good day. Not many details, pictures tell the story better.

Not sure what I'm doing yet tomorrow. Kind of on my own for the day. Might go to the pub crawls with Alexa when she gets back from Stonehenge and Bath.
